Pure Raza Hispano-Arabe
Foundation Mares

Our breeding programme is founded upon Piyayo. With no other Hispano-Arabes, particularly mares, we have within the breed criteria range of 25% to 75% introduced both Pure Arabian and Pure Spanish horses to provide two Pure Raza Hispano-Arabe daughters from Piyayo to give the spring-board of our continued Hispano-Arabe breeding programme.

The bloodlines introduced from the two pure bred mares and the next generation pure bred stallions has broadened the gene poole and added diversity to our genetic possibilities while retaining and fixing all the characteristics and quality of the Hispano-Arabe as exemplified by Piyayo.

While not having a bullring or military scenario to test the soundness of our stock we have as much as possible selected our introduced blood lines from horses of proven performance background. The continued passing of all Piyayo's descendants into the Spanish State Stud Book with no failed grading speaks for itself.

Epona Pandora

The first Pure Arabian blood for nearly 100 years has been introduced to the line with the use of Asoka Minara a Polish Arabian mare from a line of performance Arabians, herself a Golden Horseshoe qualifier. Her daughter by Piyayo is Epona Pandora, one of our foundation mares.

Epona Pandora is registered as 25%PRE:75%Arab

Epona Pandora passed Pure Raza Hispano-Arabe grading as the highest graded mare of her time.
Pandora has exceptional movement and her sires tremendous power for jumping.

Pandora spent a few years as part of a breeding programme with Yeguada Iderica as consort to Granero IV http://www.viva-iberica.com/yegib/granero_iv.htm

Epona Chimene

We were honoured to be given the opportunity from Rosy Hutchinson to 'borrow' her PRE mare Raglan Joya to breed with Piyayo.

Thus the other side to the continued Hispano-Arabe breeding programme comes from the lineage of Pandora's half sister, Epona Chimene and she is registered as 75%PRE:25%Arab.
